In this tutorial, we’ll guide you through setting up your QTrobot, and getting it ready for daily use to support your students. The entire setup process should take no more than 5 minutes.
To begin setting up your QTrobot, please ensure that you have your phone handy and access to your email. Also, make sure that the QTrobot tablets are fully charged and ready to use.
Step 1: Unboxing Your QTrobot
Carefully open the robot’s packaging and remove the QTrobot, two tablets (one labeled as the educator tablet and the other as the learner tablet), and the power adapters. When removing the QTrobot, be sure to lift it by its body to avoid damaging the motors and joints in the neck and arms. Handle it gently, as you would lift a baby from a crib.
Step 2: Powering Up Your Devices
Connect all three devices—the QTrobot and both tablets—to electricity. Ensure the tablets are fully charged. When you power on the QTrobot, a WiFi icon will appear on its face along with instructions for connecting to the internet.
Step 3: Setting Up Your QTrobot Account
Open a browser and go to qt.luxai.com. This URL directs you to the QTrobot’s main control dashboard.
Use your email to initiate a password reset. You’ll receive an email with an activation code. Use this code to activate your account and set a new password.
Once your password is reset, you can access the QTrobot online dashboard. Here, you can create student profiles, invite team members to access QTrobot, and manage students’ educational plans and progress data.
Step 4: Connecting the Tablets to the Internet
Swipe down from the top of the screen on both tablets to access the network options, or go to the settings menu and select ‘Internet Options’. Choose your WiFi network and enter the password to connect the tablets to the internet.
Step 5: Logging into the Tablet Apps
Locate the LuxAI apps on both the educator and learner tablets. Log in using your email and the newly set password.
Step 6: Connecting QTrobot to the Internet
On the educator tablet, navigate to the settings tab from the main menu. In the settings menu, click on the ‘QTrobot WiFi’ option. Select your WiFi network again and enter your internet password. Once connected, the QTrobot’s face will light up, showing that it is active and ready for interaction.
